About Us
Randy D. Roxson has been an Attorney at Law since 1996 after being admitted to practice law in the state of California and the 9th Circuit of the Federal Court, Eastern District.
While an attorney, Randy served 30 years in the fire service, retiring from the California State Fire Marshal’s Office after attaining the rank of Assistant Deputy Director, Chief of State Fire Marshal Operations. Randy began his firefighting career in the United States Air Force, and upon his honorable discharge, became a firefighter in California. Randy then became a Deputy State Fire Marshal with the California State Fire Marshal’s Office, ultimately advancing to Division Chief, and then to Chief of Operations.
Randy has an Associate in Arts degree in Fire Technology; a Bachelor in Arts degree in Political Science; and a Juris Doctorate degree. After passing the State Bar examination, Randy then graduated from a California POST Basic police academy.


Randy has practiced law since 1996, having handled cases involving family law, personal injury, fireworks, destructive devices, fire-related property losses, and cases where businesses are adversely affected by the improper application of fire and building codes.
While with the State Fire Marshal’s Office, Randy gained extensive experience and recognition in the development of California’s fire and building codes, and the various model codes throughout the United States. He also worked on many state legislative and regulatory issues that ultimately became law in California. Randy frequently testifies as an expert on cases involving fire and explosions.
